Richard Tyson, Esq. Chairman David Tyson, of Huntington, is the managing partner in the law firm Tyson & Tyson. He is a graduate of West Virginia University and California Western School of Law. He previously served on the West Virginia Board of Regents as a student representative in 1975. Other higher education experience includes serving as adjunct professor at Marshall University, President of the Huntington Chapter of the West Virginia University Alumni Association, and member of the West Virginia University Extension Service Board. Mr. Tyson was appointed to the President’s Advisory Committee for the Arts by President George W. Bush in 2002, and formerly served as State Chairman of the Republican State Executive Committee of West Virginia. Mr. Tyson is very active in community affairs and serves on numerous boards, including the Y.M.C.A. Board of Directors, the Huntington Chamber of Commerce, and the Huntington Visitors and Convention Bureau. |

David K. Hendrickson, Esq. Vice Chairman
David K. Hendrickson is the Founding Managing Partner of Hendrickson and Long, P.L.L.C. He graduated from West Virginia University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, and Juris Doctorate from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1982. He is a veteran, leaving active duty after completing a four-year tour of service as a Captain in the United States Army. Mr. Hendrickson is a new inductee into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has also been recognized by several national publications including Chambers, USA, Best Lawyers in America, and Litigation Magazine in the area of Corporate Litigation. While at West Virginia University, Mr. Hendrickson served as the student body president and was the second ever student voting member on the West Virginia Board of Regents. He is a past national president of the West Virginia University Alumni Association and was named Outstanding Alumnus of the Year, 2004. Mr. Hendrickson served as the legal correspondent to the Charleston, ABC affiliate, WCHS-TV and conducted a news segment titled “The Legal Pad.” He currently serves on the Boards of several charitable, civic and social organizations. |

Thomas Jones Secretary J. Thomas Jones, of Morgantown, is Chief Executive Officer of West Virginia United Health System. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer of the Genesis Hospital System, Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of St. Mary’s Hospital, and served with Wheeling Hospital and West Virginia University Hospital. Mr. Jones is active in civic affairs, having chaired the Huntington Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Huntington Area Development Council. He is Chair of the West Virginia Roundtable and sits on the Board of Directors of the West Virginia State Chamber of Commerce. He serves on numerous boards and commissions and served on the University System of West Virginia Board of Trustees. Mr. Jones holds a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University and a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota. |

Mary Clare Eros, Esq.
Mary Clare Eros, of Shepherdstown, retired as a member of the law firm of Jackson Kelly PLLC in January of 2007. She had been with the firm since 1981 and served as the Managing Member of the Martinsburg office where her practice areas included banking, corporate, bankruptcy, government contracts, bonds and financing, leases, business and commercial, legislative services, contracts, real estate and property law, and intellectual property and trademarks. Ms. Eros previously served as a summer intern for the U.S. Department of Justice in Elkins, a faculty research assistant at West Virginia University Law Center and Georgetown University Law Center, and co-director of the International Language Institute at Davis & Elkins College. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from St. Louis University, attended West Virginia University law school and earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. She previously served on the Shepherd College Board of Advisors. Since her retirement, she has been appointed as a visiting instructor during the Spring Semester at Vytautas Magnus University School of Law in Kaunas, Republic of Lithuania. |

Goodwin, Ex-Officio, Secretary of Education & the Arts Kay Huffman Goodwin, of Ripley, serves as West Virginia Secretary of Education and the Arts. She is responsible for six government agencies in her role as Secretary. Previously, she served as chair of the University System of West Virginia Board of Trustees. She is a former member of the state Educational Broadcasting Authority, and former instructor at West Virginia University, West Virginia State College, and the Department of Defense Information School. Secretary Goodwin is a former member of the Board of Directors of West Virginia University Hospitals and the United Health System, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences. She earned a B.A. and an M.A. from West Virginia University. |

Dr. Steven
L. Paine, Ex-Officio, State Superintendent of Schools
Dr. Steven L. Paine became
West Virginia's 25th State Superintendent of Schools on July 1, 2005. He
joined the West Virginia Department of Education in 2003 as Deputy State
Superintendent of Schools after serving as county superintendent in Morgan
County, West Virginia. He has also served as principal, assistant principal,
teacher and curriculum director in Harrison, Upshur and Morgan counties.
Dr. Paine is a recipient of the prestigious Milken
Family Foundation National Educator Award. Dr. Paine received his
undergraduate degree from Fairmont State College. He furthered his education
by attending West Virginia University where he received his masters in
educational administration and his doctorate in educational leadership. He
has completed post-graduate studies at The Ohio State University and at
Marshall University.

Robinson, Jr., Ex-Officio, Chair, WV Council on Community and Technical
Education Nelson B.
Robinson, Jr., of Charleston, is currently President of Compensation
Strategies, Inc., Executive Director of the West Virginia Chiropractic
Society, and Governmental Relations/Lobbyist. Previously, he was appointed
by former Governor Arch Moore as Commissioner of the WV Workers’
Compensation Fund from July 1986 until January 1989. Prior to his
appointment, he held several positions within the Governor’s administration
and also served as a member of the WV Public Employees Insurance Board. A
former resident of Shepherdstown, Mr. Robinson, was a self-employed
businessman in the Eastern Panhandle. He served in the United States Navy
from 1971-1978, from which he was Honorably Discharged. He attended
