Welcome to the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission. This website is your direct link to West Virginia's public colleges and universities.  It contains information on each of the institutions, as well as financial aid information.  We hope you find it useful.  Thank you for stopping by!


Our Purpose


The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission is responsible for developing, establishing, and overseeing the implementation of a public policy agenda for the state's four-year colleges and universities. It is charged with oversight of higher education institutions to ensure they are accomplishing their missions and implementing the provisions set by state statute.

The Commission consists of ten members; seven of whom are appointed by the governor, and three ex-officio members; the secretary of education and the arts, the state superintendent of schools, and the chairperson of the WV Council for Community and Technical College Education.
